E-2 Treaty Investor Visa
The E-2 visa is for nationals of treaty countries — Turkey among them — who invest substantial capital in a real, operating U.S. business they will develop and direct. The statute sets no fixed minimum; what matters is that the investment is substantial relative to the business and genuinely at risk. The E-2 renews for as long as the business runs, and your spouse can apply for work authorization.
Talk to a lawyer before the money moves — how the investment is structured and documented often decides the case before it is filed.
