Consultation

One hour of straight answers.

A paid consultation is not a sales call. It is a working session with an attorney: your situation, honestly assessed; your options, clearly mapped; your next steps, concretely defined. $120 for one hour, in English or Turkish, by video.

What one hour gets you

An honest assessment

Where your case is strong, where it is weak, and what I would do in your position — including "wait" or "you may not need a lawyer," when that is the truth.

Your options, mapped

The realistic paths available to you, what each requires, and the trade-offs between them — in plain language, in the language you prefer.

Concrete next steps

You leave knowing what to do next: documents to gather, deadlines to watch, decisions to make. Whether or not we ever work together again.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

  1. Pay and choose your time

$120, paid securely online, then pick a slot on the calendar that fits your schedule. You'll receive confirmation and a video link by email.

  2. Prepare briefly

A short checklist below tells you what to have on hand. Ten minutes of preparation makes an hour go much further.

  3. We meet

A focused video conversation — assessment, options, next steps.

How to prepare

You do not need to prepare documents perfectly — this is a conversation, not a filing. But having these at hand helps:

  • A short timeline of your immigration history: arrivals, statuses, applications filed
  • Any notices or decisions you have received from USCIS or a court
  • Your questions, written down — the meeting goes where you need it to go
  • For asylum matters: rough dates of arrival, and of the events that made you leave

Before you book

Is the consultation virtual or in person?

Consultations are held by video, so you can join from anywhere.

Which languages can we speak?

English or Turkish, whichever you are most comfortable in. French is available at an intermediate level for simpler conversations.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Yes. Consultations are protected by attorney-client confidentiality even if you never hire me. You can speak freely — that is the point.

Does booking a consultation make you my lawyer?

Not yet. The consultation is confidential legal advice for the meeting itself; ongoing representation begins only if we both agree and sign an engagement letter. You will never be pressured to sign one.

The consultation provides legal advice for the matters discussed during the session. An ongoing attorney-client relationship is formed only through a signed engagement agreement.
